Dover, NH Parking, traffic restrictions in place Monday and Tuesday for utility work

Dover, New Hampshire - On Monday, Dec. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 31, an Eversource contractor will continue work to pull underground cable through recently installed conduit between the Cochecho Mill Courtyard and First Street. While this work continues, parking will be restricted in four on-street spaces on Central Avenue in front of the courtyard.

In addition, traffic on Central Avenue will be restricted to one lane in the area of the work.

This work will be performed between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. The affected parking spaces will be available at the conclusion of each day's work.

This work had originally been scheduled for this week but was postponed.

Eversource's downtown utility work includes improving the reliability of the electric utility downtown. The work is in response to power disruptions earlier this year and follow-up meetings between Eversource and downtown merchants.

Concord NH Christmas Tree Collection

Concord, New Hampshire - Concord residents with curbside trash and recycling collection can place their Christmas trees curbside for disposal on their trash collection day starting on January 6th. Christmas trees will be collected for two weeks through January 17th. Trees must be placed at the curb with residential trash and recycling by 7:00 a.m. to not miss collection. All lights, ornaments, tinsel, and decorations must be completely removed from the tree. Wreaths and artificial trees will not be collected.

Please note that Casella will be collecting trees in a separate truck from trash and recycling, so items may be collected at different times. Trees can also be taken to the Concord Transfer Station at 77 Old Turnpike Road during the month of January. The transfer station is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be closed on January 1st for New Year’s Day. RSVP on Facebook
