The Best of 2012: Maine Artist: Pauline Davis Lorfano








Pauline Davis Lorfano is a nationally recognized artist whose work is exhibited in galleries throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area and along the east coast. When not painting her own or commissioned work, she gives workshops and classes, juries art exhibits, and fulfills requests to serve on the boards of local area art organizations. Pauline is extremely active in the local arts community, and continues to be instrumental in fostering community interest in the arts.

Her versatility in subject matter is evident; she works on commissions for historical scenes, landscapes, marine scenes, florals and still life paintings. She enjoys working in watercolor, oil, acrylic, gouache, charcoal and pencil, and paints nearly every day now that her four children are grown.
