Meals on Wheels Announces Gala Benefit

Merrimack, New Hampshire - St. Joseph Community Services, Inc. (SJCS), the provider of Meals On Wheels and Community Dining throughout Hillsborough County, will hold the 19th Annual Gala to benefit Meals On Wheels on Saturday, May 4 at the Radisson Hotel Manchester, NH from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This year’s theme is Run for the Roses, as it is held on the same day as the Kentucky Derby.

Hundreds of fashionably attired guests will dance the night away to music by K & S Music, enjoy an elegant dinner, bid on auctions and enjoy stellar performances by local ballroom dancers. Master of Ceremonies, Mike Morin of the WZID (95.7 radio) Morning Show says, “There are so many reasons I enjoy the Ballroom Gala.  Most importantly, I love that Meals on Wheels provides daily nourishment to thousands who can't get out.  Plus, since I have 2 left feet, I have a great time watching the ballroom dancing.  This is a must-attend fundraiser!”

The proceeds from this Gala, SJCS’s biggest fundraiser of the year, help in the struggle to continue to deliver food, friendship and a daily safety check to their clients in Hillsborough County.

Tickets may be purchased at the discounted rate of $55 per person until April 12th.  After that date, tickets will be $60 per person.  Tickets may be purchased online at MealsOnWheelsNH.org, by email at Meals@SJCSinc.org or by calling 603-424-9967.  If you are unable to attend, but would like to make a difference in an elder or disabled neighbor’s life, please consider a donation.

Sponsors of this event include: BAE Systems; Stop & Shop Supermarkets; Makibie; APS Lighting-Sound-AV; Mr. James Gay; Central Paper Products; HPC Food Service; Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Greenbriar; Kiwanis Club of Hudson; St. Joseph Hospital; The Courville Communities; Weisman, Tessier, Lambert & Halloran; Philip & Priscilla Currier; Bank of New Hampshire; Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua; and St. Mary’s Bank.
