Stony Brook, N.Y. – Freshman Gaby Dorsey (Hubertus, Wis.) and sophomore Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) scored late in the second half but it wasn't enough as the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team was defeated 3-2 by Stony Brook University, Sunday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.

The Wildcats fell to 6-6-3 overall and 4-1-0 in the America East, after winning the first four conference games this season. The Seawolves improved to 5-7-2 overall and 2-2-0 in conference.

It was in the 70th minute, down 2-0, when Murphy placed a free kick into the box that Dorsey headed
into the back of the net to close within one.

The Wildcats tallied another in the 85th minute to tie it up, 2-2, when Murphy blasted a shot from 25 yards out into the top left corner.

UNH was called for a foul in the box in the 86th minute and the Seawolves were awarded a penalty kick. Stony Brook's Raven Edwards stepped up and finished bottom left for the go-ahead goal and snap the Wildcats win streak.

For Stony Brook, Tessa Devereaux scored just two minutes into the game when she placed a right-footed shot just inside the far post to go up 1-0.

Edwards scored her first of the game, seventh on the season, in the ninth minute after Borkan misplayed a ball in the box and Edwards was in the right spot to scoop up the loose ball and finish on net.
