Elizabeth Price wins World Cup all-around title


STUTTGART, Germany – 2012 Olympic team alternate Elizabeth Price of Coopersburg, Pa./Parkettes National Gymnastics Center, won the all-around title at the World Cup in Stuttgart, Germany today with a score of 58.098.

Price scored a 15.733 on vault, 14.933 on uneven bars, 13.166 on balance beam and a 14.266 on floor exercise to win the all-around title over Elisabeth Seitz of Germany who scored a 55.566. Giulia Steingruber of Switzerland finished third with a score of 55.565.

2012 Olympic all-around bronze-medalist Danell Leyva of Miami/Universal Gymnastics, will compete in the men's competition on Sunday.

One week later, the Price and Leyva will compete in the World Cup event in Glasgow, Scotland, Dec. 8.

In Glasgow, both men's and women's all-around are scheduled for Dec. 8 at the National Indoor Sports Arena. Both of these events are part of the International Gymnastics Federation's all-around World Cup series, which also includes the AT&T American Cup.
