Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce to hold 2013 Annual Gala

Keene, New Hampshire - The Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce welcomes speaker Jackie Eastwood, The Global Child founder and entrepreneur, to its Annual Gala to be held at Keene State College on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5:30-8:00pm.  Join business leaders and community members to hear Eastwood speak about “Beyond Business”.  Community Service and Windsor Brooks Business of the Year Awards will be presented.

M. Jacqueline Eastwood is founder of The Global Child (www.theglobalchild.org), a school for street children in Cambodia where collaboration with MIT is currently underway. Eastwood is on the board for The Center for Family Business and CEO Forum at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.

Eastwood is the former CEO and co-founder of Salient Surgical Technologies, formerly known as TissueLink Medical, Inc.  Before that, she was a VP with Medtronic, Inc.

She has served on a number of public and private boards and is the recipient of numerous awards for her contributions in entrepreneurial and technology initiatives. She was named as a Mass High Tech all Star in 2003 and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year in Medical Devices in 2004 and was a finalist in NH High Technology Council Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006.
