Los Angeles, California - The dust has settled and only three contestants remain after an action-packed Semi-Finals results show! Did their songs get them to the Finals? Did their performances last night do enough to get them to the Top 3? Did they earn YOUR vote?

This week there were no survival songs and no votes from the judges. The big decision came down to YOU, and only you, who voted three talented acts into next week's big Finals for a chance to dethrone last year's champion, Melanie Amaro, win a $5 million recording contract, and appear in their own Pepsi commercial to air during the 2013 Grammy Awards.

The Top 4 kicked off the night by ushering in some holiday cheer with an ensemble performance of Diddy-Dirty Money's "Coming Home," before finding out who would be GOING home.

After an amazing performance it was then time to find out who would be the first act to advance to next week's Finals, and what a shocker it was. Mario Lopez called the name and it
was...Fifth Harmony! "This is absolutely phenomenal!" said Fifth Harmony's Ally Brooke after their shocking move to the Finals.

Yesterday Simon Cowell said it would take a miracle for the girls to make it through and tonight? "I believe in miracles.I could not be happier," said a pleasantly stunned Simon. L.A. agreed saying, "I'm very shocked. You said last night anything can happen and it just did."

The surprise was so great it inspired Britney Spears to debut her "WTH face!" #BritneySurprisedFace even trended tonight! "I was a little disappointed. I thought it was going to be the other way around with the groups," said Britney.

Hitting THE X FACTOR stage for the first time was Bridgit Mendler, performing her new single "Ready Or Not." She may be only 19 but that was a grown woman singing on that stage! Loved the all black outfit! Loved the band! That girl's got THE X FACTOR!

That was amazing! But next it was time to find out the second act America chose to advance to next week's Finals. Once again Mario called the name and it was, Yee-haw! Tate Stevens!  "I'm very, very proud. I am a Tate Stevens fan," said Tate's mentor L.A. Reid, who also admitted that he did not used to be a country music fan. Britney was clearly still in shock as she followed up "WTH Face!" with another debut, "OMG Face."

The last two acts anxiously awaiting their fates: Carly Rose Sonenclar and Emblem3.

Next up, Bruno Mars made his THE X FACTOR return to perform his new single "Locked Out of Heaven," from his latest album Unorthodox Jukebox. The eclectic crooner was backed by a full brass section and a whole lotta lasers!

And with that it was time to find out who would be the final act to advance to next week's Finals and who would be sent packing. America was on the edge of their seats as Mario called the final name that would be moving on to next week, and (much to the relief of Britney) that name was Carly Rose Sonenclar, meaning Emblem3 would be spending the holidays at home!

The boys were gracious in defeat and Carly Rose had some kind words for them as well. "I don't even know what to say. Thank you so much for voting and Emblem3. I know you're going to go so far and I'm going to buy your album," she told the trio.

The boys remained positive saying, "It's all good. We love you and we're going to continue to do music," said Emblem3's Wes Stromberg. Their mentor, Simon Cowell was optimistic as well saying, "I thought they had a fantastic night last night, but it happens." He reassured the boys (and all of you teary-eyed teenage girls across America) that he was not worried for their future, confidently proclaiming that this is not the last we have seen of these three heartbreakers.

Emblem3 is going home. That means our Top 3 Finalists heading to next week's Finals are Fifth Harmony, Tate Stevens, and Carly Rose Sonenclar. Congrats to all!

Okay, America, you now have your Finalists! Join us next week when the remaining three contestants will go head-to-head to see who will win FIVE. MILLION. DOLLARS!
Tune in for two two-hour shows next WED DEC 19 and THU DEC 20 at 8/7c on FOX and find out who will be crowned the new champion of THE X FACTOR!
