Eagles Close out Season with Loss to Spartans

CASTLETON, Vt. - Green Mountain College completed its regular season schedule with a 9-0 loss to Castleton University on Thursday evening in non-conference women's tennis action at the Spartan Tennis Courts.

The win moves Castleton to 10-2 overall, while the loss drops Green Mountain to 0-11.

The Spartans got out to an early lead, taking all three doubles matches and then swept the six singles matches to earn the victory.

Alex Reedy (Rutland, Vt.) put forth a great effort in No. 1 singles play despite taking the loss. The junior posted seven game wins in her 6-3, 6-4 loss.
