With the wins the Panthers improve their record 10-6, and the loses drop the Pilgrims to 11-13 overall.
GAME ONE
Middlebury jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first scoring two runs, but Gabriella Marcheschi sailed a solo home run to bring the Pilgrims within one.
After a quiet second inning, the Panthers bats lit on fire with a solo home run by Sarah Freyre,
followed by a slew of doubles to add seven runs. The Pilgrims would gain some base runners but only manage to run one in, putting the Panthers up 9-2 in the third.
Hits continued to flow by the Panthers in the fourth highlighted with a two-run home run by Ande Troutman and a solo home run by Kati Daczkowski to increase the lead to 14-2. Taylor Gardner would add a final solo home run in the fifth to finish the game 15-2.
Allison Quigley picked up the win for the Panthers and improves to 4-1 on the season, allowing five hits, two runs, and striking out two.
GAME TWO
The Panthers put up two runs and the Pilgrims answered with one, off an RBI in the first inning, mirroring game one. In the second the Panthers had hot bats again and would score 4 off two doubles and a stolen base.
Both teams were held scoreless in the third, but the Panthers once again had a huge inning in the fourth with solo home runs by Troutman and Daczkowski and Carlyn Vachow would add to the home run tally with a 3 run homer to put the Panthers up 11-1.
The Pilgrims were unable to muster any further offense, and the Panthers closed out the game with two more runs to set the final score at 13-1.
Picking up the win for the Panthers was Lane Dikeman who allowed one hit and one run, improving her record to 2-0.

WHAT'S NEXT
New England College returns to the field on Sunday, April 17 when they travel to Vermont to take on North Atlantic Conference opponent Castleton University.
Middlebury College is back in action on Friday, April 16 when they host Wesleyan (Conn.) in a New England Small Conference Athletic Conference match-up.
