HOW IT HAPPENED

NEC scored five-straight goals in the second quarter, including an unassisted goal by Christian Russo (Cheshire, Conn.), scored off of his own face-off win. Lyndon's lone goal of the quarter broke up a nine-goal quarter for the Pilgrims, who led 12-3 at half.

The second half saw considerably less scoring. Hacking scored two of the three NEC goals in the third quarter, and Reilly Parker (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored twice in the fourth quarter.
