Ana was born in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Miami, Florida with one older sister and two younger brothers. As a child she was always passionate about the visual and performing arts, booking her first professional musical at age 9. Her transition to a career in film/TV began when producer Bill Odowd spotted her on stage performing songs from "Wicked" at the age of 16. She signed one year later, when her would-be manager, Manny Arca, saw her starring in an all-female production of "Cats" at her high school. Ana began modeling and commercial acting in Miami upon graduation in 2007. She moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and immediately started making a name for herself while pursuing a
degree in Music at Loyola Marymount University, which she earned in 2012. Her first lead role was alongside Esai Morales, Lupe Ontiveros and Raymond Cruz in "Los Americans" (the hit Latino web series created by Dennis Leoni). Most recently, Ana has been cast as the female lead in Max Steel, a live-action feature film adaptation of Mattel's eponymous toy franchise, to be released globally in spring 2015.
