RIO DE JANEIRO – 2016 Olympic all-around champion
Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, won the USA’s
first women’s Olympic vault gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games, held
at the Rio Olympic Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Biles is also the
first American gymnast to win three gold medals in a single Olympic
Games. In addition, Madison Kocian of Dallas, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics, won
the silver medal for the uneven bars, and Alex Naddour of Queen Creek,
Ariz./Team Hilton (USA Youth Fitness Center), earned the bronze medal on
pommel horse.
