Join noted timber framer Ian Blackman, Ian Blackman LLC, Restoration & Preservation, for an exploration of the Goss Barn focusing on framing issues and roof repairs. This early 19th century barn, a 2011 listee to the NH State Register of Historic Places, is being restored as part of an effort to transform the Goss Farm into a community farm with a farm stand and program space in the barn.

After the morning workshop and lunch, participants will enjoy a guided tour of two other historic barns in Rye. There will be ample time for Q & A with Ian. This is a great opportunity to explore and assess historic barns with an expert!

Reservations required. Member-$35; non-member-$45; membership special (workshop + 1 yr. membership)-$55. Lunch included. Call the Alliance at 603-224-2281 for reservations.
Co-sponsored by the Rye Conservation Commission.
