Plymouth, New Hampshire - The Flying Monkey Performance Center is excited to present psychedelic rock legends Jefferson Starship on Friday, November 2nd at 7:30. Known as Rock N Roll royalty, they rose from the ashes of Jefferson Airplane. Then the musical direction takes a step to the left with folk icon, singer-songwriter, and social-activist Peter Yarrow on Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30. Peter Yarrow is known for his legacy of song with Peter, Paul, & Mary as well as a lifetime of social activism. As if one folk legend were not enough, America’s beloved counter-culture icon Arlo Guthrie returns to the Monkey stage on Thursday, November 8th at 7:30. This intimate performance at The Flying Monkey promises to be an evening of new songs, beloved classics and old folklore. Beginning in 1974 as a break-off of Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship is arguably one of the most well-known bands to come out of that decade. Known for their hits We Built This City, Sara, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now, Miracles, Jane, Somebody To Love, White Rabbit, Volunteers and Count On Me, their first album Blows Against the Empire was the first ever rock music recording nominated for literary science fiction’s prestigious Hugo Award.
