Waterville Valley, New Hampshire - Waterville Valley Resort will donate $1 for every lift ticket sold on February 3rd to support breast cancer prevention and education. As New Hampshire’s family resort, Waterville Valley Resort recognizes the impact that breast cancer has on families and moves to raise awareness to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.
This Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd, join the Waterville Valley Resort family before the big game and participate in a full day of events from raffles to rail jams. Boarding 4 Breast Cancer and Waterville Valley Resort have teamed up for the 8th consecutive year to raise money to achieve B4BC’s objective; Early Detection + Healthy Lifestyle = Best Prevention.
This year a percentage of money raised through this event will be donated to the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. This non-for-profit foundation’s mission is to advocate for and provide assistance to New Hampshire residents with breast cancer. Since 1992 the NHBCC has been fighting breast cancer by providing information on prevention and support services to those affected. The NHBCC believes that education is essential to eradicating breast cancer. B4BC also supports the cause on the education front through their nationwide Check One, Two traveling education program that reaches thousands every year.
Breast cancer touches the lives of families each and every year, whether it is battling the disease or being a loved one of those affected by the condition. Join in the movement to educate about breast cancer prevention by getting involved in the on mountain activities. The Base Lodge Sunroom will be packed with product for lucky winners of the product raffle; tickets are $2 each or 6 for $10. One not need to be present to win. Get your name or the name of a loved one affected by breast cancer on the “Wall of Ribbons” or participate in the Pink Rail Jam with all proceeds donated! Great prizes will be awarded thanks to our generous sponsors donations.
Registration for the rail jam is only a $25 donation and will be held the Sunroom from 8-10 a.m. with the jam starting at 11am. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men and women for skiing and ridding.
