GOV. JIM DOUGLAS TO ATTEND JOHNSON STATE COLLEGE SCREENING OF VPT’S “THE GOVERNORS” MONDAY, DEC. 3

In partnership with Vermont Public Television (VPT), Johnson State College will present a discussion and screening of excerpts from the two newest installments of VPT’s acclaimed series “The Governors” from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the Ellsworth Rooms of the Willey Library & Learning Center.

Panel members will include James Douglas, Vermont governor from 2003-2011, and JSC professor and longtime Vermont senator Bill Doyle.

Featured in the screening are exclusive and candid interviews with Gov. Douglas and with Howard Dean, who preceded Douglas as governor from 1991 to 2003. The interviews include behind-the-scenes accounts of the issues and decisions that were paramount during their tenures.

The event is another in a series of weekly presentations by Vermont political figures as part of Prof. Doyle’s fall “Vermont Politics” course. It is free and open to the public, with ample parking available in any campus lot.  For more information, contact Prof. Doyle at 635-1349.
