Two-time Olympic gold-medalist Gabrielle Douglas of Virginia Beach, Va.,/Chow's Gymnastics and Dance, is one of 15 nominees for Sports Illustrated's Most Inspiring Performer of 2012, who will be determined by fans. Beginning today, fans can go to Facebook.com/SportsIllustrated and rank their favorites among 15 candidates selected by SI's editors. Voting ends Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Douglas caught the imagination of gymnastics fans around the world with her bright smile and dazzling gymnastics during the 2012 Olympic Games, where she helped the USA win the coveted team gold medal and went on to become the Olympic all-around champion. She also was the all-around champion at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials – Gymnastics.
