Obama Wins 2012 Presidential Bobble Election

Barack Obama beats Mitt Romney by 17 bobbleheads
Manchester, New Hampshire - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, are pleased to announce the results of the 2012 Presidential Bobble Election, courtesy of WGIR AM’s The Paul Westcott Show, from their game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, November 2, Monarchs President Darren Abbott announced on Thursday.

President Barack Obama won the second ever Bobble Election in franchise history with 1000 votes versus Governor Mitt Romney’s 983 votes.

The first 2,000 fans to the game received ballots and casted their votes in the 2012 Monarchs Presidential Bobble Election by choosing either a Barack Obama bobblehead or a Mitt Romney bobblehead.  Each bobblehead has the candidate donning a Monarchs jersey.


The first Presidential Bobble Election took place between Barack Obama and John McCain on October 24, 2008.  McCain won the Bobble Election by 32 bobbleheads.
