BURLINGTON, VT — Dare and Truth, hosted by Moth producer Sue Schmidt and featuring true stories directed by the audience, returns to FlynnSpace on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 pm.
This performance is a unique twist on first person storytelling, where the audience gets to participate by suggesting story theme. The often-hilarious evening includes some of the best comedic storytellers from around New England and two brave audience members selected at random to join the challenge.
The evening is hosted by award-winning Moth storyteller and producer Susanne Schmidt, who will be joined on stage by the band The Brevity Thing.
Susanne began her comedic career in 2012 as a member of the Vermont Comedy Divas and cofounded of the Divas Do Good, in 2014. She has been a featured performer with the Boston Comedy Chicks, the Boston Women in Comedy Festival, the SheDot Toronto Comedy Festival, the Corner, Sound Bites, and Anchorage Alaska's Arctic Entries.
Susanne’s work as a comedic storyteller have been featured on The Moth, CBS Sunday Morning, and National Public Television. In 2015, Susanne was named the Academy of Music Theater and New England Public Radio crowned her "Best of the Valley Voices.” She is most proud for being known as the "baby with the biggest head" in her family.
