Women's Lacrosse Downed By George Fox

NEWBURG, Oregon—The New England College women's lacrosse team dropped their second and final contest on their spring break trip in Oregon to George Fox University.

The Pilgrims are now 1-1 on the season while the Bruins are 2-0.

NEC LEADERS
Alana Scott and Tara Bainbridge each tallied one goal for the Pilgrims.

GEORGE FOX LEADERS
Madison Strickland found the back of the goal six times in the contest. Lois Ray also added five goals for the Bruin offense. Ray also added four assists for nine points in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED  
The Bruins struck just 24 seconds into the contest on a Ray goal. They continued to pressure the Pilgrims which gave them the opportunity to lead 11-0. Scott ended the Bruin run with her fourth goal of the year and Bainbridge added her 11th of the season just two minutes later on back-to-back Pilgrim goals in the first half. George Fox continued to add goals in the remainder of the first half but slowed down in the second to down the Pilgrims, 19-2.

GOALTENDERS 
McKenzie Gallasso earned the start and made two saves for the Pilgrims. Coughlin came on in relief, making seven saves. Ella Rand and Zoe Jorgensen each played one half in the contest. Rand earned the win, making two saves.

Tuesday, March 19th, at Gordon College, 4 p.m.
