Middlebury College Men's Golf Finishes One Stroke Off the Pace at Williams

The Middlebury men's golf team just missed claiming the Williams Spring Classic, finishing with a two-day total of 614 to finish a stroke behind team champion Trinity. The host Ephs placed third (621) during the eight-team event hosted at the Taconic Golf Club, followed by Hamilton (631) in fourth. The Panthers took 10 strokes off their day one score, firing a 302 on Sunday. Middlebury returns to action next Saturday when it hosts the NESCAC Championship at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

Philippe Morin concluded the weekend finishing second overall with a 151, carding a 78 on day two after a 73 on Saturday. Fitz Bowen was the top Panther during Sunday's round, coming in with a 73 to finish in a tie for sixth place with a 156. Joining him in sixth was Rodrigo Andrade, who shaved a pair of strokes off his score with a 77 during Sunday's round for a two-day total of 156.

One stroke behind with a 157 was Bennett Doherty, who tallied an 80 on Sunday, good for an 11th-place tie. Joe Ko (88-74-162) and David McDaniel (84-86-170) rounded out the squad.
