New England College Women's Lacrosse to Host UMF in NAC Quarterfinal

Henniker, N.H. – New England College women's lacrosse has earned the third seed heading into the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) playoffs and will host an opening round game against the sixth seeded University of Maine Farmington Beavers Saturday, April 30.

NEC finished the regular season with an overall record of 10-7 and a NAC record of 6-2. The Pilgrims have won six of their last seven contests, with their lone loss coming to the top-seeded Castleton University Spartans. Farmington is currently 5-7 on the season and finished 3-5 in NAC play. Farmington earned the final spot in the playoffs beating Thomas College earlier in the week.

The two teams have met once this season as the Pilgrims topped the Beavers 19-2 back on March 26 in Henniker.

In other NAC Quarterfinal action the fifth seed Green Mountain College will travel to take on Husson University on Friday, April 29.  The winner of the NEC/Farmington game will advance to play the second seeded Colby-Sawyer College Charges on Monday, May 2 in New London, New Hampshire.  The winner of the Green Mountain/Husson contest will
travel to take on the top-seed Castleton University in Castleton, Vermont on Sunday, May 1.

The winner of the two semifinal contests will advance to the NAC Championship scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at the highest remaining seed.
