New England College Men's Lacrosse Dominates In Final Non-Conference Game of the Season

Henniker, N.H. – Eight different Pilgrims would tally goals as New England College men's lacrosse would cruise past the visiting Regis College Pride 22-3 Wednesday afternoon.

With the win the Pilgrims improve to 8-6 on the season, while the loss drops the Pride to 8-4 overall.

PILGRIM LEADERS

NEC's Skyler Saunders had a hand in 10 of the Pilgrims' 22 goals scoring seven and dishing out three
assists.  Matt Richard and Sean Largay each netted four goals and had an assist. While Daniel Medvetz scored three times and William Pendleton scored a goal and had three assists.

Long stick midfielder Connor Fries finished with a game-high 11 ground balls.

PRIDE LEADERS

Regis' Andrew O'Reilly and AJ Karofsky each scored a goal and had an assist.  Jack O'Brien finished with 11 ground balls and was 12-for-23 in the faceoff circle.

FINAL COMPARISON

NEC out shot Regis 54-24 on the afternoon and held the 35-24 advantage in ground balls. The Pilgrims finished the game 18-of-24 in clear attempts, while the Pride was 13-of-21.

Neither team took advantage of an extra-man opportunity as the Pilgrims were 0-for-4 and the Pride were 0-for-6.

GOALTENDING

Picking up the win in net for the Pilgrims was William Platt who stopped nine shots in 52 minutes of work.

Regis' D.J. Barrile recorded 15 saves in 36 minutes, while Tyler Estes stopped three shots in 24 minutes of play.

The Pilgrims jump back into conference play on Saturday, April 16 when they host Husson University.
