New England College Women's Lacrosse Beats In-State Foe Daniel Webster

Nashua, N.H. - New England College broke open an early one-goal game with five straight goals to close the half and added a 10-goal second period to post a 17-3 victory over host Daniel Webster Wednesday at Eagle Field.

With the win the Pilgrims improve to 8-6 on the season, while the loss drops the Eagles to 1-8 overall.

PILGRIM LEADERS

Allison Granata led the Pilgrims with five goals and two assists and pulled in six draw controls as
NEC won its fourth straight and sixth in their last eight. Tara Bainbridge added four goals and two helpers and Gabriella Bigos posted three scores, assisted on one and pulled in a game-high eight draws and caused five turnovers.

Elizabeth Bois and Kasondra Moniz chipped in with a pair of strikes for the winners

EAGLE LEADERS

Amanda Dargie posted two goals for the Eagles, while Brittany Tierney added one and picked up five ground balls.

FINAL COMPARISON

NEC outshot DWC 32-13 overall (28-7 on goal) and finished with a 29-24 advantage in groundballs and 18-4 on draw controls.

GOALTENDING

Picking up the win in net for the Pilgrims was Mackenzie Meegan who made two saves in 43 minutes of play.
